WWE Uses TNA Promotional Tactic, Jerry Lynn To Retire, ECW Original Rips Corgan's Promotion

– During last night's WWE live event at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, fans that purchased Dolph Ziggler's new T-shirt were able to meet Ziggler and get a signed autograph during the intermission. This is a tactic regularly used by TNA, which offers special merchandise deals during their house shows which includes a signing session.

– Former ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn announced at last night's Pro Wrestling Syndicate Supercard 2012 event that he will end his career at the end of this year. He admitted that it has been harder to get his body to do what he wants it to do, and wants to wind down so that he can have a good quality of life. Lynn started his career in 1988, competing in various independent promotions before finally signing with WCW in 1995 as masked wrestler Mr. J.L.

– As noted earlier, Billy Corgan's Resistance Pro Wrestling promotion is doing an angle where Rhino is bringing back the ECW belt and defending it against Resistance Pro Champion David Hart Smith on March 23rd. Former WWE and ECW executive Lou D'Angeli (a.k.a. Sign Guy Dudley and Lou E. Dangerously) blasted the angle in his latest blog, stating that it was "pathetic and does nothing for the future of this business." He goes on to write, "The Chicago based promotion is NOT unique. It's the same cookie cutter crap that EVERYONE else does." You can check out his full blog at this link.
