- Marty Jannetty stated on his Facebook page that he will likely retire in 2013. He wrote, "In the near future(February) I will be touring Germany defending my German Heavyweight Championship(although I aint heavy, Im my brother) and in March, I'll tour Europe, looking to become their Champion(will be in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and Switzerland)..In April, I'll be on a 14 day tour through Africa, starting in Nigeria finishing in Johannesburg ..After that, I believe I'll go ahead and retire.

"Im sure I'll have a hard time making myself do that, but..its time! So, while I know life isnt over after wrestling..Im going to make this the wildest craziest time of my life/career ever..
