NJPW On AXS TV Results: Finn Balor Vs. Okada, Bullet Club, Jushin Liger, Tanahashi In Action

The Bullet Club (Karl Anderson, Terrible, Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale) vs. Jushin Liger, Captain New Japan, Togi Makabe, Hiroshi Tanahashi

Tama Tonga grabs Tanahashi's hair, which allows Anderson to attack. Tanahashi comes back with a cros body press and Tonga is tagged in. He's sent to the outside as Liger hits two baseball slides. He's quickly tossed to the outside, but avoids a baseball slide of his own and hits a somersault senton on Anderson.

Back inside Liger is kicked off the top rope by Tonga and the Bullet Club takes the ring by storm. They get a two count off of a triple back drop before it's broken up. Anderson hits a Gun Stun, but Captain New Japan kicks out.

New Japan tags Tanahashi who cleans house big time until Terrible lands a big smack. Tanahashi answers with a dragon screw leg whip. Makabe comes in and hits a double clothesline, and the faces clear the ring.

Tanahashi and Terrible are let in the ring as a German suplex gets only 2 off of a slow looking count. Tanahashi follows up with the High Fly Flow for the win.

Winners: Jushin Liger, Captain New Japan, Togi Makabe, Hiroshi Tanahashi via pinfall (High Fly Flow)

Okada (w/ Gedo) vs. Prince Devitt (w/ Bullet Club)

The crowd is into this match heavily to start as Devitt locks on a front headlock. Okada misses a Rainmaker and Devitt misses a Dreamcast kick after trading headlocks and they both regroup.

The ref is distracted and Fale catches Okada's legs off of a baseball slide, which allows Devitt to hit a slingshot double stomp. Devitt follows up with a dropkick as we go to a commercial break.

Devitt applies an abdominal stretch, and gets some leverage from Karl Anderson. Machine Gun goes right back at it and apron powerbombs Okada while the ref is distracted. Okada is rolled back in and worked on by Devitt.

Okada fights back with an Irish whip reversal and a neckbreaker. He gets back to his feet first and connects with European uppercuts, a DDT and a big kick to the face for a three count. Okada does the Rainmaker pose as we go to commercial.

Devitt counters the Rainmaker with a roll up, but only gets a two count. Devitt connects with another double stomp and a tope con hilo. Devitt hits a ridiculous double foot stomp and a Bloody Sunday, but only gets two!

Devitt misses another foot stomp and Okada scores with a reverse neckbreaker over his shoulder. The two trade big forearms until Okada hits an elbow and dropkicks Devitt to the floor.

Okada does a flip dive onto the entire Bullet Club, then tosses Devitt back inside where he hits Heavy Rain. Red Ink is applied in the middle of the ring. Balor breaks free as we get our final commercial break.

Okada tries a Tombstone, but it's blocked. Barnett wisely says that Okada needs a new Tombstone method if he's struggling to get Devitt up. The ref is knocked out and Devitt hits Okada with a chair. The Bullet Club hits the ring, but they are disposed of by Okada and Gedo.

Devitt comes through and Tombstones Okada, then hits him with a chair. He then puts a chair on Okada and scores with the double stomp again, but somehow only gets two.

A nice sequence sees the Rainmaker and Bloody Sunday both blocked, but Okada lands a dropkick, Tombstone and Rainmaker for the win.

Winner: Okada via pinfall (Rainmaker) to retain the IWGP World Championship

Devitt says Okada hasn't killed him yet, and hypes up their rematch, saying he'll get revenge.

Okada plays to the crowd and hands the mic to Gedo, who says Okada will be G1 Climax Champion again.
