NJPW On AXS Recap (1/30): Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazushi Sakuraba, Kenny Omega, Mascara Dorada, More

Welcome to WrestlingInc's coverage of NJPW on AXS. Tonight's show features matches from 2015 Invasion Attack.

- We start off with clips of Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice. Young Bucks are as obnoxious as ever to start off the match, and Trent hits Nick with a slingshot northern lights suplex, before double teaming Matt. A kick/moonsault combo from RPG Vice gets a two count. The Bucks try to leave, but RPG Vice follow and get superkicked. The Bucks run back to the ring, and Trent barely makes it in the ring in time. Roppongi Vice end up winning with the Strong Zero. They're shown celebrating in the back.

- The next clip match we get is Kenny Omega vs. Mascara Dorada. Dorada has his way with Omega, flying around the ring until hes tossed into a guard rail and powerbombed onto the apron. Omega wins with a sick flying knee and a One-Winged Angel. Omega calls everyone losers, and says that banding together won't change anything. Josh Barnett is hilarious during Omega's promo. Omega calls out Alex Shelley and says he's trash. Backstage, Alex Shelley welcomes the challenge.

Katsuyori Shibata & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Toru Yano & Kazushi Sakuraba

A lot of nothing happens until Tanahashi is sent into the rails, then Sakuraba uses his signature stomps and soccer kicks. All hell breaks loose and Tanahashi drops Yano with a big forearm to the face. Yano slams Tanahashi by his hair, but gets a receipt.

Shibata wants Sakuraba, and beats the living hell out of him in the corner before landing a big time dropkick and a half hatch suplex for two. Shibata pulls Sakuraba's rash guard over his head and applies a figure four. Sakuraba gets out and lands some really nice muay thai knees, and applies the double wristlock for the submission win! Woah!

Winners: Kazushi Sakuraba & Toru Yano via submission (double wristlock)
