Recap of Tony Nese asking cruiserweight champion Lio Rush to watch his matchup with Raul Mendoza from a couple of weeks ago. After jaw-jacking with Rush on the outside, Mendoza would cradle Nese for the upset victory, setting up tonight's matchup between Rush and Mendoza.

Tom Phillips and Aiden English welcome us to another edition of 205 Live. Tonight's show takes place from Buffalo, New York.
Isaiah "Swerve" Scott is out first for our opening contest. Ariya Daivari attacks him from behind. He smashes Swerve into the barricades around the ring, then continues his assault inside the ring by whipping him into the turnbuckles. Several referees separate Daivari and check on Swerve to see if he can compete. He says yes...and this one is underway.

Daivari charges...Swerve surprises him with a knee strike. Daivari rolls to the outside. Swerve goes to follow...Daivari pulls out his leg and Swerve hits the apron hard. Back in the ring...running elbow from Daivari for a nearfall. He lights up Swerve's chest with chops. Swerve shakes it off and stomps Daivari down in the corner. Daivari retakes control and grounds Swerve by applying a submission. Swerve attempts to escape but Daivari continues to wear him down. Suplex by Daivari is blocked...Swerve nails one of his own. Up-kick rocks Daivari...Swerve follows up with a combo ending in a dropkick. He misses a splash...Daivari tries to take advantage...middle-rope elbow from Swerve. Swerve picks up the pace...snap-German suplex...jumping flatliner. Cover...Daivari kicks out. Swerve traps Daivari in the corner...superkick to the gut...jumping DDT. Daivari kicks out again. Swerve to the top...double-stomp misses...he runs into a superkick by Daivari. Daivari whips Swerve off the top rope. He goes for the hammerlock-lariat...Swerve turns it into a roll-up...Daivari gains position...uranagi. Daivari and Swerve bounce off the ropes...they take each other out with lariats. Both men down.
Daivari taunts Swerve by calling him a piece of garbage. Swerve responds by slapping Daivari in the face. He ties him up in the ropes...double-stomp to the outside. Swerve throws Daivari back inside and climbs to the top...Daivari meets him up there...overhead belly-to-belly. Daivari to the top now...he misses a splash. Swerve connects with his drive-by kick and gets the victory.

Jack Gallagher comes to the ring for our next matchup. His opponent...Ray Jazikoff...is already in the ring.

Tie-up. Gallagher takes early control with a wristlock. Jazikoff reverses the pressure but Gallagher regains the advantage and wraps Jazikoff up in a modified armbar. He transitions into a pinfall...Jazikoff escapes with ease. Back on their feet...Jazikoff applies a hammerlock.Gallagher baits Jazikoff in...arm-drag. Gallagher lands his signature headstand spot in the corner. He bounces off the ropes...shoulder tackle by Jazikoff. Gallagher answers with a headbutt that sends Jazikoff to ringside. Gallagher slides to the outside and whips him into the barricade. Thunderous chops by Gallagher. He hits a running dropkick on the outside...and another one in the ring. That'll do it.

Main event time. Raul Mendoza makes his way out first. The champ, Lio Rush, is second. Here we go.

Tie-up. Rush with a takedown. He taunts Mendoza before they lock up again. Mendoza cradles Rush early for a close two count. Fight spills to the outside...Rush uses the apron to hit a frankensteiner. He runs back in the ring...suicide dive connects. He throws Mendoza back in the ring and stomps him down in the corner. Snap-suplex. Rush climbs...Mendoza jumps up and sends Rush flying. Suplex into a neckbreaker by Mendoza. Cover...only two. Mendoza starts stringing together offense...basement dropkick to Rush's face. He keeps the champ grounded, thwarting off any comeback attempt. Rush starts building momentum...he bounces off the ropes...huge single-leg dropkick. Mendoza strikes back, with Rush rolling to the apron. Mendoza joins him...back and forth striking...Mendoza wins the exchange with a superkick. He goes for an apron suplex but Rush falls into the ring. Handspring kick sends Mendoza back to ringside. Rush to the apron...asai moonsault! Both men are down.
They continue their brawl on the outside before moving back to the ring. Rush catches Mendoza coming back into the ring. Handpring back elbow by the champ. He lights up Mendoza with a flurry of strikes. Roundhouse kick nearly wins Rush the match. Crowd is into this. Rush takes off his hand wrap and throws it in Mendoza's face. Mendoza angrily hits an enziguri in the corner. He walks the ropes...missile dropkick. Inside out slam from Mendoza...somehow Rush kicks out. He calls for his finisher...Rush applies a half-crab....Mendoza right in the center and in trouble. He manages to escape and create separation...Rush slows him down with a kick to the gut. Springboard stunner and shin kick. Rush to the top...final hour frog splash. Got em.
Lio Rush wins by pinfall
Post match, Rush offers Mendoza a fist-bump for giving him a good fight. Mendoza obliges him. Rush celebrates.
