WWE Monday Night RAW Results: Edge Returns, Drew McIntyre In Action, Big 8-Man Tag Match

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage of WWE RAW from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

- Recap of Randy Orton taking out Edge two months ago. Edge returns tonight.

- We see a shot out back as we wait for Edge's arrival to the building.

- WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch heads out to the ring. She will face Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania. Lynch grabs a mic and says the time for joking is over and she finally knows who her opponent is, the cage fighter, Shayna Baszler. We see highlights from Baszler's dominate victory at last night's PPV. Baszler says she's taking the title and there's not a damn thing Lynch can do about it. Back to the ring, Lynch recognizes Baszler cut through everyone in last night's match, even Asuka, who it took Lynch her entire career to beat.

Lynch calls Baszler a "black hole of charisma" and "I may be a b—-, but I'm the b—- who runs this division." Lynch recalls Baszler not shaking her hand after last year's WrestleMania and says Baszler is the bigger threat to come here way since she pried the title off her friends, Ronda Rousey. Lynch says Baszler has been hiding in the shadows, looking to rewrite history. Believes Baszler is trying to discount Lynch and she's going to smash Baszler's face for it, throwing down the mic afterwards.

- Rey Mysterio makes his way to the ring for his match against Angel Garza.

Rey Mysterio vs. Angel Garza with Zelina Vega

Garza taking his time getting into the match as he poses on the top turnbuckle. Mysterio runs right in at him, hurricanrana, sending Garza into the second turnbuckle. Garza with a wristlock, tries for another hurricanrana, blocked, and tossed away. Garza with a boot to the face, Mysterio with some back elbows, heads to the corner and tries to leap back over Garza and eats a kick right to the head.

Another dropkick sends Mysterio out to the floor. Vega on the apron as Garza does the pants tearaway spot. Garza continues to beat up Mysterio as we go to split-screen break. Back in the ring, Garza pops Mysterio up and lands a big knee. Garza gets tossed out to the floor, Mysterio does the slide splash out on his opponent. Garza sent back into the ring, Mysterio with a springboard seated senton, running senton, kick to the head, cover, two-count. Garza up and hits a slingshot reverse suplex on Mysterio, cover for two.

Mysterio looks for the 619, Garza ducks and pops him with a superkick. The two end up on the top turnbuckle, Mysterio fights Garza off, looks for the canadian destroy, no, but sets him up for the 619 and hits it. Mysterio with the springboard crossbody splash for the 1-2-3! Mysterio slipped a bit on that and landed somewhat hard on Garza.

Winner: Rey Mysterio via Pinfall

- Earlier today, Kevin Owens strolls into the building for tonight's show. He runs into AOP, Murphy, and Seth Rollins. Rollins chuckles as he eats some popcorn. He offers Owens some popcorn. Owens knows what's up and throws his suitcase at AOP, but they immediately attack him. Rollins with a stomp. AOP sends him into some metal cases. Murphy throws some more equipment on him. WWE officials show up to get them away from Owens.

- Steve Austin will be on next Monday's RAW for March 16 (or 3/16).

- Video package shown of NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley talking about her road to WrestleMania as she checks out Raymond James Stadium. Ripley will defend her title against Charlotte at WWE's biggest show of the year. Ripley noted when she first came to NXT, everybody said she looked like Charlotte (or a "Mini-Charlotte") so she wanted to make sure she showed everyone who she really is.

- Charlotte's music hits and she strolls out to the ring, not in her usual ring gear. Charlotte takes the mic, and tells the crowd to meet Rhea Ripley, the next big thing, the new shiny toy. She says Ripley said to be the man you have to beat the man..."You are not me, you will never be me, there is only one me." Charlotte tells Ripley to enjoy the hype surrounding her because it will not last. Charlotte is challenging for the NXT Women's Championship because she wants to challenge for the title. Charlotte says it's one thing to stand in an empty stadium, and be in front of 90,000 people, only to be humbled by The Queen. Ripley rolls out with a smile on her face. Ripley gets a microphone, she begins to talk, Charlotte cuts her off. She says this is not NXT, this is RAW, this is her kingdom. "You are excused." Ripley punches Charlotte and leaves. Charlotte is shocked! The Queen composes herself and stands back up as Ripley watches her, backing up to the stage.

- Backstage, Randy Orton stands around all creepy like as he waits for Edge's arrival.

- Ad for this week's WWE Backstage, which will have AJ Styles as the in-studio guest.

Bobby Lashley vs. Zack Ryder with Curt Hawkins

Lana isn't with Lashley because she's filming a movie. Lashley immediately runs Ryder over, punches and kicks in the corner until the referee backs him up. Lashley charges in with a shoulder thrust in the corner. Crowd with a "We want Lana!" chant. Lashley runs in and eats knees. Ryder with a second rope missile dropkick, Lashley sidesteps him, lifts and plants Ryder to the mat. Lashley hits Ryder with the dominator for the easy win.

Winner: Bobby Lashley via Pinfall

- Recap of last week's RAW segment with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre. Drew would absolutely destroy Lesnar with multiple claymore kicks.

- Backstage in his dark room, Aleister Black goes to talk and there's instantly a knock at his door. Black looks over and it's Seth Rollins and Murphy. Rollins says he wants Black on his side and potentially joining the group. Murphy tosses him a shirt. Black says, "perhaps not," and tosses the shirt back to Murphy. Rollins says "You're either with me or against me." Black responds those sound like fighting words and since Rollins did knock on the door, he came to the right place. So, he accepts. Rollins and Black stare at each other for a moment, Rollins exits.

Drew McIntyre vs. Erick Rowan

Rowan comes out with his caged tarantula. Rowan goes for the iron claw, it's blocked. The two end up on the floor where Drew takes care of Rowan. He then goes over to the cage, puts it on the floor, takes the ring steps and jams the steps down on the cage! Rowan is enraged, runs over, and eats a headbutt. Back in the ring, Drew hits a double armed DDT, kip-up, claymore kick, pin, 1-2-3.

Winner: Drew McIntyre via Pinfall

- Post-match, Drew wipes his feet back towards the destroyed cage. Sad Rowan is sad.

- Hype video recapping Randy Orton's promo to Beth Phoenix on last week's RAW where he recalled his history with Edge. Orton eventually put the blame on Beth for what he did to Edge to keep him from returning to the ring. She would slap Orton, kick him in the stomach, and then be on the receiving end of an RKO.

Kabuki Warriors vs. Natalya and Liv Morgan

Sane plays mind games with Morgan, gets dropped, cover, two. Sane recovers, lands a hurricanrana, runs at Morgan, tripped up and lands into the ropes, Morgan with a dropkick to the back, cover, one-count. Sane yells out for her partner. Morgan whips her into her corner. Natalya tags in, double suplex. Ruby Riott makes her way out to ringside to check out the action.

Asuka tags in and works over Morgan, she really needs to tag out. Finally lands a second rope missile drop kick and tags in Natalya. Double hip toss on Asuka, cover, two. Sane is able to get a hold of Natalya and yank her injured shoulder against the rope while the referee was distracted. Asuka continues to work the arm. Sane tagges in, double ax handle off the top rope. Asuka continues to focus on Natalya's arm, goes into the cross armbreaker. Natalya finally fires up and swings away on her opponent, but Asuka now looks for a kimura. Sarah Logan now makes her way down to ringside.

Natalya able to power slam Asuka. Suddenly, Riott and Logan start fighting each other. Morgan then leaps off the top rope and take out both Logan and Riott. Natalya looks to tag out, but nobody is there. Sane in the ring, Natalya with a kick, roll-up, two-count. Natalya with a discus clothesline, cover, two. Natalya really selling that injured arm. Asuka tags in, Natalya doesn't see it, puts the sharpshooter on Sane. Asuka then sneaks in and kicks Natalya in the back of the head, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: The Kabuki Warriors via Pinfall

- AJ Styles heads to the ring with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Styles takes the mic as the crowd chants "Undertaker." Styles says it's been not once, but twice The Undertaker has stuck his nose where it doesn't belong, showing what happened at last night's Elimination Chamber. The O.C. nearly had Aleister Black beat when Taker showed up and took out the whole group, giving Black a window to pick up the victory. Styles recalls when Roman Reigns beat Undertaker, then Taker folded his jacket and put his jacket in the ring, all nice and neat. Then put his fist up, riding off into the sunset. Styles thought Taker should have retired after losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, Styles says he wants Taker at WrestleMania! Styles continues that maybe 15 years ago he would be hesistent in calling out Taker, but he doesn't see a phenom anymore, he sees a broken down old man named Mark Galloway. (!!!)

AJ says he doesn't know what brings Taker back, he should have retires years ago. Styles then believes it's Michelle McCool is the reason he keeps coming back. Anything she wants, she gets, even if it means Take coming back to the ring and getting hurt. Styles says McCool is the most conniving person he's ever met. Styles says he's going to make sure Undertaker "dies" in the ring at WrestleMania. "I am going to take The Undertaker's soul at WrestleMania." He calls him a broken down old man, again, and says to accept his challenge.

- "Brave" Charly Caruso approaches Randy Orton to get his thoughts on Edge returning. He just kind of stares off with a slight grin on his face and doesn't say a thing. She just says "okay," and heads off.

Riddick Moss (c) vs. Cedric Alexander (WWE 24/7 Championship)

Moss runs over Alexander right as the bell rings. Alexander throws a big kick. Leaps off the second rope, he's caught in midair and Moss does a fallaway slam, sending Alexander basically out of the ring. Moss tosses him back in, cover, two-count. Moss with a reverse chinlock. Alexander drops the champion, cover, two. Alexander sent to the apron, looks for a springboard, but gets tripped up. Moss with a big shoulder block in the corner, neckbreaker that sends Alexander into the mat, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Riddick Moss via Pinfall

- In the ring, MVP says he's transitioning from in-ring competitor to "absolute brainiac." MVP says he's going to build his stable around a man like Edge. MVP says he could lead Edge back to becoming a champion, again. We then see Edge drive in, very mad. He's walking straight to the ring. MVP says they are going to make a bunch of money and has a great proposition for him.

Edge makes his way to the ring, takes the mic. He tells Orton to "grow a set" and get to the ring right now. MVP asks Edge what's wrong with him and says he's mentally off and focusing on the wrong things. MVP then asks how Edge's wife is. Edge with a big spear on MVP. From behind comes Randy Orton! Edge with an RKO on Edge and the crowd pops big for that. Edge grabs a chair and heads back into the ring. He decides to get a second chair to take out Orton, but Orton runs out of the ring. MVP looks for a punch, but Edge locks in a standing triangle on MVP as he stares at Orton. Edge puts a chair in the middle of the ring, gives an RKO to MVP on the chair. Looks at Orton, grabs a second chair and whacks MVP over the head. Crowd chants "one more time!" Edge obliges and smacks him again. Orton looks on from the stage. Edge stares at Orton as Edge's music plays. Edge finally gets out of the ring and runs after Orton as we go to break.

- Next week: Contract signing between AJ Styles and The Undertaker for WrestleMania 36.

Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles with Murphy

Back and forth action early on. Rollins goes for the stomp early, no, black mass, no. Rollins sent out to the floor. Black goes for a leap, but does his springboard into the middle of the ring and sits down. Back from break, Rollins working over Black, sends him face-first into the turnbuckle, then a knee strike. Back in the ring, Black sends Rollins on the apron.

Black with a flurry of strikes, low sweep kick, single-leg dropkick, kip-up, springboard moonsault. Murphy leaps up on the apron and gets punched off. Rollins goes for a roll-up, one-count. Black with a kick, snap german suplex with the bridge and Murphy jumps in. He swings away on Black for the DQ.

Winner: Aleister Black via Disqualification

- Post-match, AOP is called out and the group beats up Black. The Viking Raiders run out to the ring and try to help out, but get beat up. The Street Profits now run out and swing away on Rollins' group. They clear the group out. Ford gets on the mic and calls for an 8-man tag match. Rollins says okay and they run back to the ring as we go to break.

Seth Rollins, Murphy, and AOP vs. The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders

Match in progress as Ford and Murphy battle each other. Dawkins tags in and drops Murphy, cover, two. Murphy with some back elbows, tags in Akam, Ivar also in now and beats up his opponent. Erik gets tagged in and throws a big knee at Akam. Ivar back in, initially gets beat up, but able to fight off Rollins and Murphy to get a tag in to Erik. He then picks up Ivar and power slams him down on Murphy. We see Owens get beat up in a split-screen replay. Ford and Rezar in the ring now with Ford throwing a bunch of strikes, kick to the head, heads to the top rope and goes for a crossbody, but is caught in midair. Rezar with a fallaway slam.

Murphy tagged in and keeps Ford to the mat for a moment, Ford tries to fight back. Couple tags take place, Erik sends Rezar out to the floor, Erik with a suicide dive, but Rezar doesn't even move. They bark at each other as Murphy hits a suicide dive on Erik. Rollins tagged in and continues to beat up Erik. The two fight on the floor and Rollins gets sent into the barricade, then the ring. Erik looking for a tag, but Rollins grabs him by the foot. Erik swings away, Murphy then takes away tag options. Rollins kicks away at Erik, then taunts the opposing team.

Rollins' groups continue to tag in and out as they beat up Erik some more. He's finally able to hit a big knee on Rollins, then tag Ford in. He lands a number of strikes on Murphy, DDT, kip-up, standing moonsault, cover, two. Rollins handling Ford really easily in the ring. Murphy tagged in, suplex, cover, two. Murphy with a kick to the back, reverse chinlock. Ford fights his way out of it, tries to tag out, but Murphy hits a belly-to-back suplex. Murphy taunts the team. Ford with a big superkick. Ford finally tags in Ivar, who drops Rollins. Throws Akam to the mat and splashes down on him. Seated senton on Rezar, lariat on Akam. He tags in Erik, they look to take out Rollins, but AOP intervene. Rollins with a falcon arrow on Erik, cover, Ford breaks it up.

Murphy takes a kick to the head with Ford. Akam with spinebuster, Dawkins drops him with a spear. More big moves on everyone. Ford with a massive frog splash on Rollins, cover, and Murphy breaks it up. Dawkins sends Murphy out to the floor. Viking Raiders with stereo suicide dives to clear out Team Rollins. Ford and Rollins in the ring, Rollins is kicked out to the floor. Ford with a big flip out to the floor, taking out pretty much everyone, except for the legal man. Ford gets in the ring and Rollins lands a stomp, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: Seth Rollins, Murphy, and AOP via Pinfall

- Post-match, Kevin Owens pulls Rollins out of the ring and beats him up. AOP throws him in the ring, but he stuns one guy, tosses the other to the floor, stuns Murphy, and Rollins hits Owens with a stomp. Rollins then hits another stomp, and then a third one on Owens to close out the show.
