Master Wato vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Wato and Kanemaru get right to it. Wato ends up on the apron, looks for a springboard and gets kicked in midair. Kanemaru gets control of the match, thumb to the eye, uppercut in the corner, sends Wato to the other side, kick to the face. Wato tries to fight back, Kanemaru back to the eyes, but gets hit with back-to-back dropkicks. Kanemaru out to the floor. Wato with a corkscrew plancha on his opponent.

Today's event is outdoors at a baseball stadium. Commentary noting how hot it is today at the event, may factor in to these matches. Back in the ring, Wato gets some momentum and it quickly ends with another dropkick by Kanemaru. Wato sent to the ropes, Kanemaru pulls the referee in front of him for the distraction, tries for the pin, gets kicked in the head though. Referee still down as Kanemaru looks to crack Wato over the head with a bottle of whiskey, Wato ducks it, lands spinning kick, Wato driver, cover, two. Wato hits a facebuster on Kanemaru, looks to set him up for a high-flying move, but Kanemaru trips Wato for the roll-up, 1-2-3.

Kazuchika Okada vs. El Desperado vs. Toru Yano vs. SANADA (KOPW 2020 Championship)

Yano tries for a time-out, but hits a back elbow on Okada, quick roll-up, two. Yano yanks Desperado down by his mask. SANADA throws Yano into the ropes, he holds out, SANADA charges, Yano ducks. Okada holds SANADA, tells Yano to dive. He goes for it, but Desperado stops that. Double low dropkicks by Okada and SANADA on Desperado. Okada looks for the LIJ fist, then boots SANADA in the midsection.

Yano helps his CHAOS partner out, as they work over SANADA. Yano gets rid of the turnbuckle pad, monkey flips SANADA into the corner. Okada drives SANADA into the mat, cover, Yano breaks it up and tries for a pin of his own, Okada stops that. The two battle, Yano with an inside cradle for two. Desperado smacks Okada out of the ring. Yano eventually gets sent into the exposed corner, SANADA gets the paradise lock on Yano.

Okada gets in the way to stop SANADA, they wrestle as Yano just sits stuck in the paradise lock. Okada looks for a tombstone piledriver, reversed into skull end, nope, SANADA with a twisting neckbreaker, cover, two. Yano is yelling for someone to get him out of the lock. Okada shotgun dropkicks SANADA into Yano, and he's finally free. SANADA tries for skull end on Okada, drops to the mat with the hold. Desperado with a frog splash down on both guys. Okada with a dropkick on Desperado, money clip submission is applied to Desperado. Desperado grabs the referee for a moment. Yano rolls up Okada for the victory! He's given a trophy after and Yano looks almost apologetic for pinning his CHAOS stablemate.

Winner: Toru Yano via pinfall to become the inaugural KOPW 2020 Champion

Shingo Takagi (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki (NEVER Openweight Championship)

Front facelock by Suzuki, gets suplexed by the champion. Back and forth action with Takagi eventually getting booted off the apron, down to the barricade. Suzuki sends him into the barricade a few more times. Suzuki throws some more strikes on the outside. Referee starts up his 20-count. Commentary notes the wrestlers are not supposed to go past the barricades as the company continues to employ social distancing measures.

Back in the ring, Suzuki throws some big shots, but Takagi drops him with a lariat. Suzuki with a grin at that big strike. Takagi with an attack in the corner, saito suplex, cover, two-count. Forearms by Suzuki, big boot in the corner, penalty kick, cover, one-count. Back-and-forth shots in the middle of the ring. Suzuki locks in a sleeper hold on the champion. Gotch style piledriver, no, Takagi reverses into a death valley driver. Pumping bomber on Suzuki, cover, two!

Suzuki back up, multiple kicks to the face, tries for another, made in japan hits on Suzuki, cover, two. Last of the dragon, no, Suzuki with a big headbutt to the back of the champ's head. He lands another to the front, then a third one puts the champion to the mat. The two trade shots, Suzuki tries for another sleeper, ends up taking some lariats. Suzuki hits a single-leg dropkick. Big shots from both wrestlers. Suzuki with yet another sleeper, referee checking on Takagi, gotch style piledriver on Takagi, cover, 1-2-3!

Winner: Minoru Suzuki via pinfall to win the NEVER Openweight Championship

Hiromu Takahashi (c) vs. Taiji Ishimori (IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship)

Ishimori going right after Takahashi's banged up shoulder, planting him to the mat. Takahashi out to the floor, Ishimori flips down on it. He sends the champion back in the ring, splashes down on the bad shoulder. He then goes for an s-lock submission, Takahashi able to get to the ropes and roll out to the floor. They end up in the ring, then the apron, Takahashi tries for a sunset bomb, no, gets sent shoulder-first into the ring post.

Back in the ring, Takahashi gets some momentum, shotgun dropkick. He heads out to the apron, hits another dropkick, sending the challenger into the barricade. In the ring they trade big shots. Ishimori on Takahashi's shoulders, hits a poisonrana! Ishimori charges at the champ and takes an overhead suplex into the corner. Dynamite plunger on Ishimori, cover, two. Both trade german suplexes, Takahashi lands a lariat, but can't make the cover.

The champ looks for a piledriver, reversed into double knees to the face by Ishimori. Ishimori with a yes-lock, but Takahashi gets to the ropes. Bloody cross, no, Ishimori then hits a buckle bomb, knee to the face, Takahashi with a thrust kick and then eats a lariat. Time bomb lands, cover, no! Takahashi looking frustrated afterwards. He looks for another, Ishimori counters with an inverted bloody cross, and then the yes-lock, reposition away from the ropes, yes-lock held in and Takahashi taps out!

Winner: Taiji Ishimori via submission to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship

Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Tanahashi (IWGP Tag Team Championship)

The champs try to get the jump on the challengers, no luck though. Both Ibushi and Tanahashi with leaps down on Taichi, double elbow drop. Taichi back up, plants Tanahashi, cover, two-count. Tanahashi rolls out to the floor as Sabre beats up Ibushi on the other side of the ring. Referee starts up 20-count, finally the wrestlers go in at 16 for a moment, but Tanahashi gets launched into the barricade. Tanahashi getting worked over by Taichi and Sabre. Taichi taunts Tanahashi, eats some forearms. Tanahashi sent to the corner, leaps off it and hits a crossbody.

Ibushi gets the tag, spinning powerslam on Taichi, then hits a crossbody on Sabre out on the floor. Standing shooting star press, cover, two. Ibushi and Taichi each trade big kicks. Taichi with a dropkick on Ibushi as Sabre brings down Tanahashi. Taichi rips off the pants, looks for a superkick, no, but lands a couple other head kicks. Ibushi gets one of his own and both men go down. Tanahashi tagged in, dragon screw leg whip on Sabre. He does it again in the ropes, Sabre in some pain now. Tanahashi looks for the texas cloverleaf, Sabre immediately gets to the ropes.

Sabre trying for a backslide, but can't get the leverage as his knee gives way. Taichi comes in and boots Tanahashi in the face. Ibushi with a springboard dropkick. Ibushi holds Taichi as Tanahashi lands another dragon screw leg whip. Sabre gets the same treatment. Tanahashi tries for a slingblade, Sabre reverses into an armbreaker, then wrenches his arm behind his shoulder. Ibushi makes his way into the ring and breaks the hold. Taichi brings in the iron glove, it gets kicked away. Sabre is booted down. Double back suplex on both of the champions. Ibushi with a splash on Taichi out on the floor. High fly flow on a standing Sabre. He then goes back to the top for another one, nobody home! Taichi rushes in, Black Mephisto on Tanahashi, cover, 1-2-3. Ibushi held back so he couldn't break things up.

Winners: Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr. via Pinfall

- Post-match, Ibushi helps his partner walk to the back.

EVIL (c) with Dick Togo vs. Tetsuya Naito (IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship)

Togo tries to attack Naito before the match and gets dumped out to the floor. EVIL then cracks Naito with the title! Naito out to the floor, EVIL follows and the match officially starts. EVIL sends Naito into the barricade, then grabs two chairs from under the ring. EVIL puts the chair around Naito's neck and then swings for the fences. 20-count starts, Naito gets back in at 16. Naito trying to get some momentum, Togo trips him up though when the ref wasn't looking. Naito tries for a swinging DDT, no, but lands a nice one-legged dropkick.

Naito able to land a low dropkick on Togo, then blasts EVIL in the corner, lands a slingshot dropkick, cover, two. EVIL blocks a kick from Naito in the corner, then stomps him to the mat. Both on the apron as EVIL looks for darkness fall, Naito with an elbow. EVIL rakes the eyes of the challenger. EVIL tries again, Naito counters and sweeps the legs, then hits a neckbreaker down to the floor.

Back in the ring, EVIL is put up on the top rope. Naito goes up and looks for a hurricanrana and hits it, pin attempt, two-count. Naito with some taunting kicks to EVIL's head. One of the turnbuckles had been previously removed, Naito ends up getting sent back-first right into it. Both end up on the top rope and EVIL hits a big superplex, cover, two. EVIL showing some frustration after that kick-out. EVIL lands darkness falls, cover, two-count. EVIL looks to finish things, nope, but Naito gets backed up into the exposed turnbuckle. He recovers and hits a tornado DDT on the champion.

Inverted tornado DDT on EVIL, cover, two. Destino, no, EVIL hooks the referee, Togo hits Naito in the back with a chair. EVIL tries for everything is evil, blocked, elbows by Naito. Togo on the apron as Naito looks for destino. EVIL sent to knock Togo down. Naito sent into the ropes, EVIL pulls Red Shoes in front of him, Naito then stops short to avoid him. Pretty sure Naito tripped himself up and was actually supposed to hit Red Shoes. EVIL then just throws Red Shoes into the exposed turnbuckle and the ref goes out to the floor. Togo gets in the ring and stomps away on Naito.

EVIL joins the fun and hits Magic Killer with Togo. BUSHI runs out to the ring, kicks EVIL and knocks Togo down to the floor. Gedo then runs out and jabs BUSHI in the eye. BUSHI sent into the barricade while EVIL brings a chair into the ring. Naito kicks EVIL, Togo then chokes Naito from behind, EVIL jams the chair into his midsection. SANADA runs out and dropkicks the chair into EVIL's face and beats heck out of Togo. BUSHI lands codebreaker on Gedo, then splashes down on Gedo.

LIJ then takes both Gedo and Togo all the way to the back. Referee was down during all of that, so the match continues on. Naito hits destino, cover, 1-2-no. Destino, nope, EVIL grabs Red Shoes, low blow to Naito, big lariat, cover, two-count. EVIL tries for his finisher, no, multiple counters, Naito drives EVIL's head into the mat, both men down. EVIL tries for another lowblow, blocked, Naito slaps him and plants EVIL on his head. Destino lands again, cover, 1-2-3! New double champion!

Winner: Tetsuya Naito via pinfall to win the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship

- Post-match, Naito gets on the mic and thanks the fans for coming out. He continues despite the current pandemic, there's a bright light at the end and says we can overcome the current obstacles. Naito does his usual LIJ sign-off and some fireworks go off in the background.
